At a recent visit to a local barbecue joint, diners experienced a mix of flavors and service that left them wanting more. While the food received praise for its taste, particularly the crispy fried pickles and tender brisket, many felt the portions were underwhelming and the overall quality inconsistent. Service was a common point of contention, with reports of slow attention and a distracting focus on regulars. The atmosphere, though lively with potential, suffered from maintenance issues. Overall, while the BBQ spot serves enjoyable food, improvements in management and a commitment to quality could elevate the experience significantly.
The food and ambiance were both delightful. The staff delivered outstanding service.
I ordered the brisket for $16.99, but what I got was underwhelming. Despite having three servers for only four tables, I still had to get up to refill my own drink. Overall, I left feeling quite disappointed.
The food at Bubbaque’s BBQ was excellent, and the service was top-notch. It’s my go-to BBQ place, but I was let down by the poor upkeep—the booths were ripped and patched with duct tape, making the atmosphere feel rundown and unclean. Additionally, during a quiet period, the staff missed a chance to clean up instead of socializing.
Food was good, but friend's ribs were to dried out to eat. My ribs were soft and delicious. The waitress left lots to be desired. She was not dressed in a professional manner, she forgot parts of our order and mixed up our sides. She kept playingwith her hair at the table. Then, she brought the check and we had to ask someone else to get her after waiting about 15 minutesfor her to come back.
Placed order in restaurant and ordered 4 items. The total price was correct, however 1 item was not ordered on receipt and another item got doubled. When realize we’re missing cheesy fries, saw we were charged for 1 lb. Of brisket. Pulled porkamount and brisket amount looked the same. When I took in and questioned that was told yes I’d only got 1/2 lb. Of brisket,she’d give me a refund. Gentlemen came and said no I got a pound and if I didn’t want to pay for it , he’d take it back.I’m from out of town and I have family here. We’ll never eat here again. Horrible service!!!!!
