What Rosalinda McLaughlin dislikes about Brew Gentlemen:
Really good brew… really good!! but for some odd reason they relocated to a dystopian area of the city..Like you don’t want be caught there walking at night.. It’s rough.. Like cages on the store fronts at night rough. As a fellow biz owner, wth are you thinkin?! We were pulled over that night unrelated to my visit there and I decided to ask the cop about Braddock. He said its one of the roughest areas around and tol... View all feedback.
I really enjoy this place. They consistently offer a great selection and host interesting events. Plus, they’ve recently added a six-pack shop at the front of the building!

This place offers some of the finest beers in Pittsburgh! You can either take a four-pack to go or relax and soak up the atmosphere indoors or outdoors.
First was the Trees, a spruce IPA with a hazy twist. This distinctive brew offered a delightful mix of flavors, highlighted by the notable taste of spruce that added a refreshing and surprisingly delicious element. It struck a perfect balance between the familiar bitterness of an IPA and the earthy essence of nature, making each sip a flavorful adventure. Next was the Double Brock Barrel Aged, a bold choice with an impressive 9.5% ABV. From the very first sip, it was clear that this beer was something exceptional. Rich, complex, and utterly delicious, it teased the palate with layers of flavor, a testament to the skill and expertise of the brewers. With its smooth mouthfeel and robust character, this beer was meant to be enjoyed slowly, with every sip revealing new heights of flavor. What truly enhanced the experience was the ambiance of the brewery. Visiting on a quiet evening allowed us to enjoy attentive and friendly service, which contributed to the overall warmth and charm of the place. It reminded me why Brew Gentleman has such a special place in its patrons' hearts—not just for its outstanding beers, but for the inviting atmosphere and exceptional hospitality. As I reluctantly said goodbye to Brew Gentleman, I found myself promising to return sooner rather than later. With its convenient location just 30 minutes away, it's a hidden gem that's definitely worth visiting more often. Whether you're a seasoned beer lover or just looking for a memorable night out, Brew Gentleman offers an experience that's truly worth savoring.
It had been about five years since my last visit, and I was pleased with the selection and variety available this time around. Their signature beer, General Braddock's, is a classic American IPA that's both crisp and hoppy. The White Sky is a delightful wheat beer with a unique chai twist. The Mexican Coffee Stout is enjoyable, but my favorite was The Trees, which is brewed with spruce tips. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the brewery's history and vision. If you're in Pittsburgh, definitely make a stop here.
