**Dining Experiences at Benchmark: A Mixed Bag in Bozeman** Benchmark offers an alluring rooftop dining experience with stunning views of Bozeman, enhancing a cozy atmosphere, especially by the fire pit. However, not all experiences have been favorable; issues with reservations and service have left some guests disappointed, unable to dine due to oversights and awkward bar interactions. I can't comment on the food because, despite having made reservations through Open Table, there was no table waiting for us when we arrived. The host simply informed us that it was open seating, but there were no available tables. When we mentioned our reservation, he looked at us like we were crazy. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time at this restaurant. There are many other excellent dining options in Bozeman. This place does not meet Marriott standards.
Our server was friendly and offered great suggestions for dinner. The food was delicious, and the view was spectacular. Plus, it’s easy to find parking, conveniently located in downtown Bozeman.
It was an absolute waste of time. We made a reservation for a patio table for six people, but when we arrived, they told us, “Oops, we’ve booked the patio.” We agreed to be seated inside, but the bar service was terrible, and they overcharged us for our drinks. We left before it could get any worse. I wouldn’t recommend it.
First of all it is open seating. They don’t honor reservations so why is Open Table setting up reservations???? We had set up a reservation for outdoor dining. None available when we got there and we had to sit inside. All seats outside were taken. So we grabbed a table inside. Which ended up being good because it rained. All the people outside came inside and the noise level was horrible. The acoustics are not good and is shocking for a new, upscale hotel not to design this in because it is a small space. You couldn’t hear the person across the table. Service was horrible. 30 minutes before someone took our drink order. Another 15 minutes before the drinks showed up and another 20-30 minutes before our food order. Food delivery was fast and the pizza and salad were good. The server never came back around, we had to track her down to get another drink and to get our check. Would not go back and would not recommend. Benchmark has a lot of work to do. Open Table should also do some homework and confirm reservations work at this place. They don’t so don’t bother making them.

The host claimed the restaurant was open, but there were no free tables available. He looked at us as if we were unreasonable for mentioning our reservation. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time at this restaurant; there are plenty of other great dining options in Bozeman. This place does not meet Marriott standards.
