Was Ashley Crowe at Red Apple a mag?
I really enjoyed the food and the prices were great, but the lack of air conditioning made the heat unbearable! Additionally, there were a lot of flies that kept landing on us while we were eating. I visited the restaurant yesterday and initially, everything seemed fine. However, the food took a long time to arrive. As more customers came in, we noticed that the three families who arrived after us received their meals first, while we ended up with our cold food last. I was quite disappointed with the experience. The prices have gone up, but what hasn't these days? Fortunately, the food remains consistently excellent. It's always served hot. This is the best Chinese restaurant in the area.
I have dined at Red Apple Restaurant and ordered takeout several times, and I have never been disappointed. I will definitely continue to visit and highly recommend it to others.
This restaurant is pretty much your typical Chinese place, or as my mother would call it, a bit of a dump. The service was quick and efficient, and the food was just average. However, the hot and sour soup was definitely the highlight of the meal. In addition to the Chinese menu, they offer a variety of burgers and a breakfast menu too. We might return to try the breakfast. I believe they are open 24 hours. It was a long drive from Portland, but the weather was nice, and I had a full tank of gas.
It's a lovely restaurant. Although it's a bit of a distance from Milwaukie, the food definitely makes the trip worthwhile.
