Café Spitz is located in a pedestrian zone where there are quite a few other pubs and restaurants. It differs from those by its accent on beverages, notably many cocktails and a fair selection of wines by the glass. Having said this Spitz also has...a short menu of tempting lighter fare I ate pan-fried fegato (liver) with a huge rocket salad, both of good quality. Altbewährte Lokalität, halb Cafe, halb Restaurant, halb Cocktail Bar. ..Hier werden viele Genres bedient. Die Speisen und Getränke Auswahl ist sehr gut, wenn auch teilweise viel zu teuer. Mein Kaffee hat geschmeckt, im Fernseher über der Tür lief Fussball, auch das Publikum war angenehm. Ich habe mich sehr wohlgefühlt .
We went to Spitz on Sunday ant took all you can eat' option. We got plenty of different cheeses and pastrami in addition to fresh bread and scrambled eggs. The food was very good and the service was excellent.
Visited this place twice during a work trip, staff were fast and courteous, and spoke just enough English for there to be no issues with ordering. Meals are fairly well priced and the coffee is good. Service time for a steak was under minutes...even when the place was absolutely full.
Das Spitz is an institution in Bonn and has been a meeting place for Bonn residents and visitors for over 20 years (fun fact: I was at the opening party!
