This chippy used to be THE chippy in Westhoughton. That being said, you had a job to catch it open.....they (the previous owners) were very much part time . The new owners have extended their opening hours but the produce isn 't quite the quality that it used to be. Perhaps it 's just teething problems and they 'll pick it up again. This chippy in Westhoughton is fantastic and by far the best around. The staff is friendly and the fish is always cooked fresh every time I visit.
We always go to this chippy and the ladies are a pleasure as always ! Fish was lovely and the portion sizes are great! Just all around good food !

The only way to top off VE Day celebrations with fish and chips.. thankyou wingates they were perfect !!
This family-run fish and chip takeaway is really pleasant and nice. We highly recommend trying the chicken curry. The fish was cooked exactly how we requested and was a good size. We highly recommend this place.
