I ordered a 4-piece dinner and was asked about salad dressing, but they never inquired about my choice for potatoes. I received fries instead. When I called to mention that I would have liked to have been given options, the receptionist informed me that I need to specify if I want something different since it always comes with fries by default. Really? I would have happily paid extra for a baked potato. I didn't realize I was ordering a happy meal.
We were back in town and always make Borries a top priority for dinner. This was by far our biggest disappointment of our trip. We planned to go on Prime rib Tuesday and it was like shoe leather! 4 people had the prime rib. 2 others had the t-bone and 1 had the rib-steak. All steaks were overcooked and tough. The breadsticks are not good anymore either. The only item that was good was the Minestrone was the only good thing we had. Sadly after 50+ years this will not be one of our stops when we come back home
The food was excellent with generous portion sizes. The staff was wonderful! I ordered the pasta and ravioli, and I ended up taking a lot home because it was so delicious. The menu features Italian and American dishes. The chicken and shrimp dishes also looked really appetizing.

We got the prawn with the half spaghetti and half ravioli. The prawns were good once the breading was removed, it was just way to thick. The spaghetti was mediocre at best with a very bland sauce. The 2 ravioli that I did get with the meal wereunderdone and bland as well. Very overpriced for low quality food.
