Our experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. Despite making a reservation six months in advance, we were greeted with sarcasm and placed in a cold, damp basement. The menu did not cater to those with food sensitivities, and some of our meals were burnt. The dining experience at this restaurant was terrible, with poor service and untrained staff. During our visit, we were not informed by the hostess that there were two separate dining areas, and were unpleasantly directed to a cellar room after initially being seated upstairs. The menu specials listed outside were only available in the cellar room, which left us feeling frustrated and confused. This type of treatment was unacceptable, especially since the restaurant came highly recommended to us. We will not be returning after such a humiliating experience. It seems that we were not the only ones affected, as two other diners also expressed feeling misled about the separate dining areas and specials menu. This tactic of bait-and-switch was extremely disappointing and left us feeling deceived. Overall, the experience was confusing and targeted towards higher priced menu options.
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. The place was a bit busy, but that's to be expected in the summer. One of the highlights was watching entitled people not get their way - it was like dinner and a show! I will definitely be returning, hopefully before the summer season ends.
