I have noticed this place from the Interstate for years, and after reading a wonderful article in Texas Monthly, I knew we had to give it a try. It turned out to be a fantastic experience! Comfortable hotel. Hot tub and outdoor pool were closed for renovations. It was 100f why couldn’t they have done this earlier in the season. Parking lot was also closed, so had to park several blocks away! View all feedback.

I went through and had a reservation in La Quinta. When I was there, the room was not available. That was the only hotel I could find with a void. It turned out to be positive. The place was great, the room exceptional, and the staff very pleasant. I usually rent rooms of chains, but this experience has rethinking that
I was just there and loved the place. The beautiful paintings and the opulent use of the space in the lobby and the mezzanine have the landmarks of a forgotten time. It is really a monument to the past era of West Texas ranching and oil barons. This little jewel is worth it out of the way for!
Great historic hotel. It was remodeled about 10 years ago. The rooms were modernized. Antique fossits and sinks were replaced, but there are still a lot of the original features and it is beautiful ! We had breakfast at the grill inside the hotel and enjoyed the food and service. Beds were very comfortable but I did have a hard time to use the remote for the TV lol
