Was Anonym at Roy & Pris a mag?
Quite an experience with nice multiple dishes menu that makes it an very interesting discovery - service could be a bit warmer but maybe the constant technotype music in the background does not allow for a more intimate atmosphere View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Roy & Pris:
Gute Bedienung. Cocktails waren ok. Wein schon in Ordnung. Mal schauen. View all feedback.

When this place opened a couple years back I was intrigued by the Blade Runner themed name but never had an occasion to visit, nor did pretty much anyone else--the place is nearly almost empty, on perhaps the busiest street for restaurants in East Berlin. Finally on a business trip with a colleague we decided to try it, family in tow. The interior is quite interesting, and the menu seemed ok though rather expensive for Berlin (the only other people in there when we arrived were the types of West Germans whose arrival in town in the last couple years has destroyed Berlin). They made suggestions for what on the menu would be kid friendly, then proceeded to bring the kids food so hot they couldn't eat it. When the kids finished their drinks quickly to subdue the fire in their mouths we asked them for water for the kids and they refused to serve it to them--so we just gave them their water bottles. The food sounded interesting on the menu but was really small and not particularly tasty, horribly overpriced for what it was; in even a more expensive city like New York the food would have been much higher quality if similarly priced.Service was arrogant and slow, and any restaurant that won't give kids water on a bill well over 100 Euros is beyond the pale. Since no one goes there we can expect that even with the rather expensive interior it will follow so many others in the neighborhood and be quickly out of business--let's hope something better follows!

Although empty, we had heard good things about Roy & Pris and so decided to try it out on a grey Sunday afternoon. The service was very friendly and we were helped to order a range of starters (wan tan soup, Chinese pizza - brilliant, Szechuan aubergine) and then pork belly and flaming sashimi for mains. Every dish was well presented and hit the spot - spicy and flavoursome as opposed to just hot.The portions are a little small but not sure why this place isn't busier - a big thumbs up from me and will definitely be back for more.
