Mittendrin ser måske en anelse nedslidt ud, men egentlig passer det meget godt til hele konceptet og det giver stedet mere sjæl. Måske fordi der på trods af det nedslidte alligevel er rent og pænt og stedet emmer af hygge og rigtig berliner-stemning.Personalet er flinkt og både mad og drikke er godt!Særligt den varme kakao kan anbefales på en kold dag, hvis man lige trænger til en pause.Caféen ligger på en sidegade og kan måske derfor nemt virke skjult, men faktisk skaber det bare en endnu bedre atmosfære.
Hidden away in a quiet side street not far from Alexander Platz this small restaurant is a find. We went mid-afternoon after we had roamed around Hackesche Hoefe (more hype than a glimpse into old Berlin), starved but wanting to eat inexpensively. They serve various sweet and savory tartes, the crust is like a super thin pizza crust...delicious. Other people came in and ordered from the nice assortment of cakes and pies, which are apparently quite popular as well. It seems they bake onsite... Try one of their Iced Coffees (Eiskaffee),which is chilled strong coffee with a scoop of Vanilla ice cream and whipped cream on top. Very nice, rich! Enjoy!
Lors d'une promenade dans la Courbe de Rosenthalerstr. nous nous sommes arrêtés pour déguster une boisson chaude et un morceau de tarte au Mittendrin (19 Sophienstr.). Un moment trés agréable : endroit bien chauffé, propre, service aimable et pâtisserie délicieuse. Excellent rapport qualité/prix.
Somehow it was clear to me that a part of the weaponlesser could then become a hop smoothie in a locality nearby. And after a veritable incense cave experience at the beginning of December 2015 in this corner, I was curious where Frank led us in his hood. In the end, we were not just there, but in the middle. This is the name of the smoking place in the Pestalozzistraße, into which the path led us. When someone who lives in a federal state, in which for a few years the clearest regulation on smoking has been taking place in restaurants, is also non-smoker and sometimes has problems with the eyes, I was curious what awaits me and my eyes there. Sure, the first minutes were already a challenge but otherwise it was. No real problems with my eyes, the Veritas had played in a completely different league. The middle-drink is a gravel pub in which the tap is certainly not too long for crows. At least in the area where we sat, you can sit quite comfortably. The decoration may be something that fits one or the other well, you can argue about other things. The service was hearty with special charm, the drinks came quickly. And the sanitary facilities were also not a challenge. I could have stayed here for a long time. That my clothes then smelled smoke was a collateral damage. Good four stars from a distance.
The little pub in our street...Peter Alexander sung a pub in his song. I got to meet her... The Mittendrin is a cool Berliner Kneipe, with everything about what the cheerful Berliner non-Hipster needs! The bud is smoked, consumed and a little dirty! Just urrig, how a real Berlin pub must be like that! There is an ambience and odour aroma that was previously standard in every corner pub in Berlin. A climate that was for many Berlin foods. So probably still here today, for the regular guests from the neighborhood! I felt very comfortable here for an evening in my life. The decorative peculiarities have attracted me very much. For health reasons, however, I cannot stop here more often. The gaseous waste products that are no longer usable in a material transformation process in the form of combustion are simply too strong for me! Thus, the social ascent to this scene and its socialization is unfortunately prevented.
