Was Anonym at Luftgarten a mag?
Cosy beer garden with many parasols, even a few sun loungers. Various drinks and even foods (stock sausage etc.) are provided. They like to stay there often and for a long time. Public toilets are nearby. Four 4 stars from me, as the prices are slightly higher. If prices were a little better, you'd go a lot more often. View all feedback.
Beer and fast food, there isn't much else you need on a sunny afternoon. Discovered this place last year and went back to spend a couple of hours. There is enough shade, chairs to lounge and enough food to keep you going.
Luftgarten is a wonderful beer garden at the historic Tempelhof Airfield, now a public space for the residents of Berlin. You have to walk a little ways to get to it, but that's OK. They have the usual selection of German beers, even some non-alcoholic, and some traditional beer garden eats. The best part, though, is just sitting under the trees, with a liter of good German beer and maybe a pretzel, watching the bikers, roller-bladers, runners, kite flyers, people with babies, kids playing, and folks just enjoying themselves at Tempelhof. It is supremely relaxing and a great way and place to spend a summer afternoon.
Tempelhof is an enormous space. If you go exploring the fields on a warm summer day, it's good to be aware of this place on the north rim of the park. I would recommend to any friend that they visit Tempelhof if traveling to Berlin.
I really like the place is close to nature and you can eat delicious German food also delicious beer and coffee, I will come back whenever I can!
Despite the sparse choice of places for food in Tempelhof Park, the Luftgarten served very reasonable and good quality German food! We could have spent hours in the beer garden, enjoying the view of the airfield! A very relaxing experience!
