Was Anonym at Lovis a mag?
we had a wonderful evening! eating was excellent and surprised by creative compositions. a true taste explosion! the service is friendly and competent. our new favorite restaurant. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Lovis:
focus well implemented, reductions of the arome and flockness optimally implemented, spicy use very retaining. meat is rather marginal. service friendly, but not competent, air up. the price of the wine-producing system must be very important. View all feedback.
A beautiful restaurant for a rendezvous. the brot and the kohlrabi tasted excellent, the polenta good. the price-performance ratio was also true. 14 euro for 0.1 l riesling I personally found something overwhelmed. in rheingau we pay less than half for it in good restaurants. the service was overeaged and at the beginning something too hastily. lovis is highly recommended.
Interesting location. very good food, really great creations. for pure meat lovers but unsuitable as there are only 2 variants, derecote and chicken breast. you should be informed beforehand, otherwise as often negative assessments are made. because you not only rated the food, but also the whole ambiente etc., our evaluation didn't seem so good. what we didn't like at all was the service. false timing in the drinks, empty glasses still on the table and other glasses have already been put off, not where they belonged, but somewhere. that went through to the close. which was very disturbing, the tables are very close to each other. if 2 waiters operate simultaneously on 2 adjacent tables on the left and right and bend slightly, you have the back of it in the face. rather unpleasant and not appropriate. also were the waiters, there were plentiful, much too hectic. the crowning was another, because the tables are very close to each other, the really very intrusive odour after a dame with grace and was not able to perceive the actual odor of eating. after the 2nd floor, the nose was full! as already assessed, eating is excellent, but not all about it, at least at our visit not. you don't need a waiter back when eating in front of the nose, which then when you go away runs so tightly past the head of my man and almost tears his glasses down, and the annoying perfume smell. dinge does not necessarily fit to a multi-course menu. there should be a restaurant visit in a special location where eating is in the foreground, unfortunately it was the opposite. also in these trips the whole picture must be correct.
Great eating, lovingly dressed. full menu for vegetarian, you never had the feeling to get supplemented, as with some other restaurants. service very dedicated and attentive. wein super tuned to the menu! I'm looking forward to the next time!
We came here after reading multiple positive reviews. However, Lovis didn’t live up to the expectations: although the ambience is quite nice, the food was a bit disappointing. We had the 6 course menu €99): of all the dishes, probably one or two were worth noting the broccoli and the soup. We felt that all the other plates were either not balanced or just not up there: the chicken soup was overly salty, the lamb shoulder quite heavy and paired with an odd barbecue sauce, the dessert a mix and match of different flavours with a washed out fruity liquid. Service wise, front of house was excellent but waiting time among servings was super slow. We were expecting way more for €100+ per person. Honestly, we would not recommend it
Lovis is definitely one of the most romantic restaurants in Berlin, the perfect place to take a special person. The service was excellent and very friendly, and conspired with me to arrange a small surprise for my date. There is plenty of space for each table, giving you a sense of a private bubble just for the two of you. Lovis is located in a former women’s prison that has been very beautifully and intimately redesigned, with candlelight, lush greenery even in fall, and exposed brick. The atmosphere is the primary reason to visit at least once if you’re in Berlin. Most of the dishes were delicious, but at this price point in fine dining, I would have expected a higher standard of quality and creativity. The tomato tartare was my favorite dish, outstanding and surprisingly citrusy with a variety of complex flavors and textures. However, the mushroom soup seemed like a straightforward and basic dish I could have prepared at home, and I’m skeptical the ingredients were local. The menu is largely vegetarian, and I would recommend sticking to vegetarian dishes since that is clearly the chef’s specialty. The meat dishes were underwhelming; both my steak and the accompanying sauce really lacked seasoning. Overall the experience was still excellent and I will come again to experience the varying seasonal menus, but the price is more justified by the atmosphere than the food.
