A miserable lunch: cold fries, dry turkey schnitzel, a pathetic side salad, all practically inedible, and all for around €17! It's outrageous; we definitely won't be back, despite the beautiful view.
You won't experience culinary delights at this restaurant. However, the food is reasonably priced and tasty. The staff is very friendly.
I stopped here for a coffee after my shopping. The selection of food and drinks is absolutely fine, and the prices are reasonable, too. The cashier wasn't entirely rude either. The interior seemed a bit dated, and the cleanliness wasn't particularly high. There were large cobwebs under some tables and chairs. The floor was a bit sticky.
...walked to the counter, ravenously hungry. Three people looked at us as if we were aliens. Then we expressed a desire for meatloaf—unfortunately, they didn 't have any—okay, no problem, what do you have that 's tasty? Then a very strong emphasis on pork goulash...and then another follow-up with: Well, it 's just German cuisine here...but this is exactly the cuisine we wanted...racial profiling??? At Hermannsplatz, seriously?? Hmm. I hope that was just a really bad exception Monday. So then we had spaetzle with chanterelle mushrooms in a cream sauce, totally overdone...and the cravings had long since vanished..0l0l
Back when Karstadt was still Karstadt, everything was actually better there. Now, as a Galeria Kaufhof branch that only uses Karstadt as a secondary name (for old times' sake), some things have changed for the worse. In my opinion, that includes the restaurant. For example, there used to be a good buffet breakfast available from 8:00 a.m. That's no longer the case. The opening hours are now only from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday to Thursday) and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Friday and Saturday). But the kitchen closes even earlier! Of course, prices have also gone up due to inflation. Today I paid €3.20 for a slice of mandarin cream cake
