I have been coming to this restaurant for two years now. Every time I visit, I spend at least $100. Today was different. There was a flyer by the checkout counter offering a deal where if you buy 2 pounds of shrimp, you get another pound for free. The flyer said it expired on April 1, 2024. Today is February 22, 2024. When I asked about it, they said it was a football season special that coincided with the games. I questioned why the flyer would expire in April when football season would be long over. The owner told me that the locals understood the promotion. Despite being a loyal customer who has spent a lot of money at the restaurant, the owner made me feel like I was at fault for not knowing about the promotion. I still ended up spending $100 on food, even though the owner did not honor the deal advertised on his own flyer. In short, be cautious when dining here if you are not a local as the owner may not treat you fairly.
Crab cakes bussin. The seafood platter was enough for 2. Service was A1. You can order and grab a case of beer next door at the gas station.
A crab shack on the side of the road next to a gas station....yes, let's try it...lol That was a good decision! Unfortunately we went late in the day and all the larger crabs were sold out. We were lucky enough to get a dozen small. The crabs were steamed with just the right amount of seasoning...meaty and sweet. We also got steam Shrimps and broil scallops. Both were finger licking good. The scallops were perfectly cooked! It was so good, we got another order to go. The only thing Mediocre was the hush puppies. Think they were different from what we are used too..they were too sweet for our taste. I would definitely go back to get food when I am in the area.
Great food, very pricey and small portions. It?s about $20 for a fish sandwich on a small potato bun and $20 for 5 small crab balls. Just know what you?re getting for your money before you go, and you won?t be disappointed!
It was OK for the price. My son's calamari tasted very tough and chewy. My shrimp was average. Husband's fish looked average. This eatery had no drinks and owner tells people to go next door to gas station and buy bottled soda for $3. It was OK for lessthan $50. I think the French fries were the best thing.
