love that this place has a separate menu for vegans that is not limited to 2 items. we had the chili and rubber bears as the half and both had a bang taste, but felt boiled to a good wise. we also had the reispudding, which was also beautiful, would be back here. updated by previous review on 2021-08-31 View all feedback.
What Omar F dislikes about Easy Creole:
Stoped by last week for the shrimp etouffee and did not enjoy it. The rice was way over cooked and starchy, shrimp didn't have much flavor, over all texture together was one consistent mush with know separation of vegetables, shrimp, rice... just mush. To be clear to the staff or others reading this review in the future I am not comparing it to my expectations of authentic Creole food. Willing to give it another shot... View all feedback.
Trying multiple dishes at Half and Half was a great option. The shrimp etouffee, mushroom stroganoff, and chicken creole were all delicious. The cole slaw helped balance out the meal with some veggies and lightness.
The chicken creole was unique and delicious, but could benefit from additional seasoning. The red beans and rice were decent, but could use more flavor and possibly some spicy heat. Overall, not too bad.
I absolutely adore being able to have chicken Creole delivered whenever I want. This restaurant is a charming taste of New Orleans spice. Every dish I've sampled has been delightful.
I love Easy Creole. Though I noticed they’re closed walking by the other day. They were one of my favorite places. My partner and I had our last meal out together right before the pandemic shut down in 2020. And have loved getting together with friends there since the world opening back up again. Gratitude to these folks for their yummy affordable comfort food and the cool funky space they created for the community. And best of luck in what’s next!
Both the Spinach Mushroom and the Creole Chicken were bursting with flavor. Portions were big enough for leftovers. Give this place a try if you want something new and interesting!
