Solros is a small caffe and bakery that offers two vegan Norwegian donuts, the rest is only vegetarian (except perhaps for the suppe of the day.) so the place is usually a coffee and a small break to have, but it is not the place to eat when they are vegan. the coffee is good and the donuts also, perfect for a stop at the pedestrian zone.
Only two options, but they were very tasty. celestial and pistachio cherry and mandling. fill!
Stopped to pick up a raspberry pistacia and a cherry almond doughnut before we go up the mountain. both were very delicious. as our donuts of happy donut, but with more fillings! the heaven was my favorite, but both were great. a nice sticky snack for on the go.
After being in Bergen for years and sampling different coffee shop pastries and coffees we finally tried a new bakery yesterday. My partner and I both agreed it was the best pastry hands-down. The coffee was also excellent. What is amazing about the pastry, it was not sweet as other pastries are. They also sell farm fresh eggs from their farm. Being that it is a small bakery there is limited seating inside and a few tables outside for warmer weather. They also bake three types of sourdough bread from stone oven‘s. It is my new best place and I will be returning often.
Pastries and coffee were so tasty! One of the best that I’ve tried (and I’ve tried a lot in different countries The place is very quiet and authentic. The waitress is friendly and open minded. I definitely recommend this place to visit!
