I have ordered from this story many times, and all I can say is that its very good... IF you catch them on a good day. Sometimes Ill order and the food will be mediocre at best, and sometimes its some of the best food Ive ever had. I dont know what causes the discrepancies, but keep it in mind when ordering.
Wish the Eggscellent Croissant had some sort of sauce on it and maybe one more strip of bacon, otherwise it was good and the croissant was soft and good. The Brown Sugar Latte was very good, liked the taste of their espresso beans.
The Pumpkin Chai Latte is absolutely fantastic—definitely the best chai latte in Bend! The pastries are delicious, and the croissant from the Eggscellent Croissant was incredible, comparable to those from Sparrow. The blueberry muffin was really moist and packed with blueberries. The cheese bagel was generously topped with cheese and baked to perfection.
I am shocked at how disappointing this experience was. I'm truly puzzled by the 4.7 rating on DoorDash. The chai was bland and tasted like mostly milk with a hint of sugar. The croissant seemed like it was bought from Safeway. The bacon on the sandwich was minimal, with only about 3 inches in total, and the poached egg was evidently hard-boiled without the shell. The only redeeming quality of the sandwich was the avocado. I have no interest in visiting this place again the next time I drive along College Way. Between two Eggscellent Croissants, there were just two arugula leaves; I'm not sure if they ran out, intended to include more, or if a gust of wind just blew a leaf onto each sandwich. Regardless, a sprinkle of arugula wouldn't have made a difference. It’s clear that whoever prepared this didn’t put any effort into it. I regret having to give such a negative review, but this was a lackluster effort overall.
Avocado Heights was amazing! The freshness and craftsmanship of the food were truly exceptional. The iced matcha latte was also uniquely delightful!
