Was Else Rosenbaum at Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen a mag?
We had a wonderful server, very thoughtful and intuitive, and she was absolutely on task keeping our drinks filled and checking in to ensure we had anything we could possibly want. Very clean location, comfortably decorated without any kitschy elements, a casual elegance , if you will. Excellent menu choices and the food really was quite good, the pricing very reasonable. What Garfield Farrell dislikes about Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen:
Nice place, attentive staff. Ordered the shrimp and chicken strip beer battered. Mmm... not like it much, I wouldn't order again. Couldn't tell what was shrimp or chicken. To crusty, chicken had very hard and fried portions on it, not chewable. Oh well, the drinks were good. Had a good scoring night ? ?. View all feedback.
Have not been to this restaurant in a couple of years. Today we visited the establishment and had an awesome meal, excellent service and it's strange to say that all the employees seem to work well together and get along like a well-oiled machine. Every waiter that I encountered or watched serve their tables were friendly polite and it actually overwhelmed me. I'm not used to such good service. The bus boy was on top of every table cleaning the table tops and the seats. A young girl came in and threw up in the entryway of the lobby because she had too much heat and they immediately cleaned that up and apologized to everybody and took care of that. While I was there I noticed them wiping off the front door handles and front windows. Again, wow! This place exceeded my expectations and I am very difficult to please! I highly, highly recommend this restaurant for great quality food and great service!!! Unfortunately, I did not get the name of my waitress. However, all the waiters and waitresses I encountered in the restaurant were all professional and extremely courteous and friendly.
Haven't been to this location in quite some time. But it's a mixed review. Had some goods and some bad. Parking at Cheddars was fast and easy. The place didn't seem packed compared to the rest of the other places in the area. Which was a plus since Pennington field had marching band competition currently ongoing. This was our second pick, we decided to wait our chance for a table. Table was fresh and clean, this is good and bad. Still wet is no bueno when you rub your hand in it first thing. Glad it was clean but would have been better if dried a bit more. Seemed clean for the most part though. Customer service was great. Even towards the end, when we noticed their table side tablets had our complete table orders a bit wrong, he quickly fixed them up. Had some cash to give another party at our table to make up for another error though. No biggie at all. The food, most of it was pretty good. The monte cristo should have been maybe fried a bit more. It was a bit too much soggy for my taste. I like a bit more crispy outside than like a donut sandwich feel to it. Chips and queso apps were simple. Chicken breasts from my friend was a bit too salty. But overall food was ok. There were slightly more better bits than bad. Just middle of the road. Steaks were cooked nicely though. Medium and medium rare were spot on. That puts it just a bit over for middle of the road in my opinion. Upon finish, I had stepped on something under the table which could have rolled from another table or was always there but didn't want to look. Maybe next time I'll take a look and see. If I could give 3.5 I would but it's fair to have a 3. I can't edge it to 4 without having one of my concerns adjusted. It wasn't a bad experience. Just wasn't outstanding. Customer service was though. It was nice to have dinner with friends though.
My wife and I went out of our way to eat at this location. Got there at 5:15 and were told there would be 15 to 25 minute wait. After 30 minu es we were seated in the half empty bar. server walked by and said he would be back in a minute. My wife headed to the ladies room. The server walked by 3 more times. once carrying a togo box, once carrying a plastic bag and once just cruising. Manager came to talk to my wife who got smashed by the door upon leaving the ladies room. After he finished and left, we still had not gotten to order anything. Manager offered to pay for our meal since my wife had been hurt when the door trapped her arm. After sitting for 15 minutes with no sign of getting anything to drink, much less getting to eat, we left. It has to be pretty bad to walk away from a free meal. 45 minutes sitting there only to be ignored by the server. I took my wife home because she was not in a mood to risk another hour in the quest for food. I went to Logans on Loop 820 and got a pretty good steak without all the waiting Cheddars seems to dictate.
Over priced but those crescents keep me going back. I try different dishes maybe I'll find the right one
The Chicken Caesar Pasta Salad is absolutely amazing—I order it every time I visit. My neighbors always go for the chicken tenders because the bread is better than at most places. I will say that the portion sizes are reasonable for the prices I've seen.
