I'm there every other Thursday for lunch with my colleagues. The staff is friendly and they know us well. The food is tasty. What more do you need?
My opinion is the best place in the Basel city, this glamourous and traditional restaurant offer the greatest concerts that i i ve seen, some of my photos have been made at the Brazilian Carnival in Atlantis in 1985. I ve seen the best musicians of instrumental music there too : Hermeto Pascoal, Egberto Gismonti, Naná Vascocelos, Sebastião Tapajós and Baden Powell . The owner Onorio Mansutti in that time invited many others musicians and painters and always envolved in the high level of the world culture and he created some socials aids programs, NGO called Kinder in Brasilien. Atlantis it s also an amazing for eat and drink, my favourite place in Basel, forever!
The local supper was great and the concert was ok. What I don't understand is how you can charge CHF 40 for a normal hamburger (with a side dish)....
If you are in Basel take the time to stop by Atlantis and taste the salmon burger from the Swiss Alps
