Feedback
The popular Devon restaurant in Barangaroo has received mixed reviews, with some customers praising the delicious food and great service, while others were disappointed with the pricey menu, limited options, and unsatisfactory service. Despite serving tasty dishes like the French toast dessert and the salmon katsu, some diners found the portion sizes to be small for the price. The cafe's ambiance and decor were well-liked, but issues with reservation management, outdoor seating, and a lack of available menu items left a few guests feeling dissatisfied. Overall, Devon appears to be a hit-or-miss dining experience for visitors in search of a trendy cafe in Sydney's bustling Barangaroo area.
This is really a 3.5 but I can't bring it to give them a 4 stars just yet I went here for brunch with a girlfriend on Sunday morning.
While vacationing in Sydney, I was recommended by family to check out this brunch spot. I didn't realize it was kind of out of the way from the city center
Went to quite a few cafes in Sydney and I must say this is one of them that tops the rank. Devon Barangaroo is located in the city within 15 minutes walk from Westfield Sydney. The salmon was delicious as with the soft serve with fries. This place fills up fast so go early. Ended up to be quite a pricey cafe brunch, but worth it.
This was certainly not something I wanted to deal with while making funeral arrangements. Is it even legal to charge $20 per person for a simple reservation for eight? On the day of my reservation, my group was seated outside, which I hadn’t been informed about when I booked the table. The restaurant is in a very windy location, and I had specifically requested to be seated indoors. I was told that my group couldn’t be accommodated inside due to another reservation, but it was frustrating to see that those tables remained empty even after we left. I had an elderly woman with me who shouldn’t have been sitting outside in the cold. When we asked for a blanket and heat lamps, the staff member handed us the blanket while rolling her eyes. On a positive note, our server was fantastic—he was truly the only good aspect of our experience. If it weren't for the outrageous $20 charge per person, I doubt I would have chosen to dine here at all.
