Sweet27 was amazing! The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was prompt and welcoming. The vibe was modern but relaxed. My gluten-free friend was delighted by the variety of menu choices! It ended up being a perfect meal after work. The decor was chic while honoring Baltimore’s heritage. I could rave about it all day! Let me start by saying that I am 100% NOT gluten-free. For me, gluts-free usually means a meal that either tasters inferior or costs more. The first time I ate at Sweet 27, I had no idea initially that it was a gluten free restaurant. I had an old friend visiting from out of of the country and he only eats gluten free meals. Most restaurants had one or two options so to be able to find a completely gluten free restaurant and bakery attached was awesome. We enjoyed the pan seared salmon over fried plantains with a salad on the side, garlic mashed potatoes and some Pinot Grigio. Afterwards, we stopped by the bakery and bought some chocolate chip cookies for his trip the next day and I enjoyed a cheesecake dipped in chocolate. The entire meal was very reasonable, we loved the murals on the walls and our server Jill was very attentive. I look forward to visiting again very soon!!
We were looking forward to. An allergy friendly/vegan meal as advertised but all the food we ordered was extremely spicy to the point we couldn 't eat it!! We sent one dish back but by the time we got someone 's attention and the new meal came it was long after the others had finished that 's in quotes because they barely touched the over spiced food. Very disappointed!!!
This is nice place to go. It had warm vibes like eating at the house of an aunt or something. The staff was really nice. I got the garlic tomato shrimp with a side of garlic kale and basmati rice. It was yummy. It tasted like a home cooked meal. Highly recommend. Will come again. It wasn't busy when I went. It was quiet enough for me to do some work on my laptop evenwith other people there. They have really cute outdoor seating too.
We were thrilled to find this dedicated Gluten Free restaurant with so many different options on the menu. All three of us could order some of our favorite foods — pizza, tacos and so much more! Great staff and environment. And then we took some of theirawesome cupcakes home with us. The carrot cake cupcake was so good that I would definitely go back just to get more of them.
