This corner pub offers a good vibe, terrific food, and great drink choices. Despite being a bit pricey, the food quality justifies it. The brunch menu surprised one reviewer with excellent entrees and cocktails. While the restaurant was nice with great seafood and service, the upstairs seating was cramped and loud. Regular customers love the friendly staff, delicious food, and unique menu items like the sticky wings. Another couple was won over by the amazing dining experience, drinks, and live music. A reviewer raved about the crabcakes and other menu items like mac and cheese. For those looking to refuel after a workout, this spot offers calorie-heavy meals and affordable drinks. Despite some issues with seating and noise levels, the overall consensus is that this is a must-visit spot in Baltimore.
The day I went the crab cake was not really crab, it seemed like it could have been pink salmon or something mixed in. Maybe that’s just how they do it there, but I’ve always expected lump crab in a crab cake. Definitely won’t be back.
A few things: I never leave reviews, and I also never sit at the bar. Turns out me sitting at the bar and having the best experience compelled me to write this review. MEGAN was amazing! She was so full of energy and personality, yet completely professional and knowledgeable about the menu, oysters and drinks. She made the most amazing drinks and I didn’t order off the drink menu so she’s a true bartender! She recommended “shorgasm” oysters for my first time having oysters. They were small and a great flavor. The food was ok… the eggrolls were small, the soup wasn’t hot enough. But PLEASE GO SIT WITH MEGAN! She will have you laughing and engaged in great conversation! I’ll be back for a drink and to sit at her bar for sure!
As someone who has a lot of dietary restrictions, like seafood, Mamas on the Half Shell delivered for me. Tara did an absolutely stellar job explaining what the possibilities were for me. She was incredibly helpful and nice. Always on us making sure we were satisfied with the food, drinks etc. I can’t recommend this place enough. Go to Mamas on the half shell! I’m sure all the servers are great, but if you want to ensure your experience is incredible ASK FOR TARA!!
So my kids and I were starved after a day of appointments, shopping and a barber appointment. We decided to stop by Mama’s On The Half Shell since it was on the way home. We were greeted by Gavin and seated immediately. Gavin waited on us and was very professional and friendly. The food was delicious and we will definitely be back, thank you! Our waitress was Joy. She tried her level best to make sure we were taken care of. The environment was relaxed, and there wasn't loud music playing, so you could actually have a conversation Price per person: $100+ Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
