I went out for a family meal and had a great experience. The food was delicious, came out quickly, and the chef was very friendly when I asked about the ingredients in the spicy sauce. I will definitely be returning.
Nice meal, good food, good service but a little expensive. Still surroundings etc very nice. A different menu to normal. Made a nice change.
My wife and I came to this restaurant for a late breakfast today. We were greeted by a friendly waitress who seated us promptly. Despite the late hour, we were still able to order a full Irish breakfast without any issues. The food was excellent and we would definitely recommend this place.
We arrived at this place, because we heard that roscommon is a quirky hidden gem. It sure is, wonderful local people. . We had plans to book in for 3 weeks in July. The man at reception, who goes by the name of Milkey ,when asked about availability, kept checking pages for June not July. When i pointed out his mistake I could see the wrong page in front of me he then said I have to call you in half hour, or maybe tomorrow. Our computer guy is in toilet for half hour, bad he got bad diarrhoea, ! So I had a feeling about this crowd of shysters! Sure enough, when i called, Milkey denied I 'd even been in the building! We stayed one night, **** freezing and the arrogant puffed up manager Denis thinks the sun shines out his every orifice. Avoid avoid avoid, awful dump. But roscommon is the loveliest pretty homely of towns
I went to Jacksons for dinner. i selected Jacksons because it was opposite one of the best pubs in town. I entered from the side passageway, Harrissons Court. Although i was early for dinner, i should have spotted the signs when I saw only one couple in the restaurant. The room was very big, and poorly lit. The mirror on the wall reflected the ceiling it should be angled down to reflect the diners. There were two menus a la carte and early bird. i went for the former. I was provided with some lovely fresh bread which is highly recommended. I selected a pasta dish which was average in flavour. When i had finished my meal there was no staff in the vicinity although i could hear them laughing and joking in an adjoining room. When i needed to pay i had to go to find some staff.
