This restaurant features a blend of modern Mexican cuisine, with a particularly impressive selection of mezcal. While many patrons rave about the delicious and beautifully presented dishes—especially the exceptional mole and wagyu brisket tacos—some found the drinks underwhelming and the taco's lime flavor overwhelming. The service is consistently praised for being friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. The ambiance, combining a spacious interior with outdoor seating, sets a pleasant stage for meals. However, potential diners should be mindful of the slightly higher prices and limited meat options. Overall, it’s a charming spot worth considering.
This restaurant serves delicious and authentic Mexican food. The Mole was exceptionally good. The highlight, however, is the impressive selection of Mezcal. Make sure to also try the Raicilla, particularly the Sierra del Tigre if it's available. It may sound strange, smelling like cheese rind, but it tastes like a tropical cocktail. Overall, the food was excellent and I would rate it 5 out of 5.
I landed in Austin and the first thing I did was eat at Suerte with luggage in tow. I passed by this restaurant several years ago and it looked popular so it was on my list of places to try if i ever returned. The host offered to store our luggage in the back as we dined which was appreciated. I was able to make same day reservations for a Sunday night and the restaurant was pretty busy. We ordered the ceviche verde, suadero tacos, mole y pato, and chocotaco. I enjoyed all the dishes except the mole y pato as the flavor was too rich for me. Our server was excellent and the ambiance was nice. Although I would say tables were rather close together with other parties. I would recommend dining here if you're visiting Austin.
Great food and different flavors! Tried this place for a work event so we got to sample a lot of menu items. Everything was very delicious and savory flavors. The beef suarde tacos were the best, and the lentil dipping sauce was amazing. Tres leches dessert was divine. Would recommend for a dinner with friends or family. It was very crowded so probably not great for a quiet dinner but the atmosphere is lively.
This place is overrated. I’ll throw some positives out there first. The door was beautiful and the service was great. Ppl there are so nice. The drinks were nasty. We tried 3 and decided not to try anymore. After the drinks we were pretty nervousabout how the food would taste. Not impressed at all. We had two bites out of one dish and decided not to continue eating it.The tacos were good but not to die for like everyone makes it seem. They actually contained too much lime for my taste, which Ihad seen in a previous review. The salsas were good at least. Yeah, wouldn’t come back here again.
