Located conveniently for many locals, this restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring teriyaki, gyoza, and more. While some diners rave about the tender spicy chicken and flavorful beef teriyaki, others express disappointment, noting issues with overcooked items and inconsistent quality. Concerns about cleanliness arose after a report of a cockroach found in food. However, many patrons appreciate the friendly service and quick takeout options, praising dishes like curry chicken and sweet and sour beef. Was User at Ringo Wok a mag?
In my search for a delicious spicy chicken teriyaki, I was not let down by Ringo Wok. The chicken was incredibly tender and the spicy sauce was just right. The portions were generous, so be prepared to take some leftovers home. The owners were friendly and hospitable. I will definitely be returning for more! View all feedback.
What Darrin Smith dislikes about Ringo Wok:
Cockroach in food Luckily I was only a bite into my food, but that is one bite too many as, according to google, cockroaches and any food they have touched is fully contaminated and needs to be thrown away immediately. Threw away both fried rice because they were most likely cooked together. This roach was cooked fully into the food. Yuck! I will not be going back and recommend you don't go here either. Getting teriyaki here is so easy and convenient because we live 3 mins away, just call and pick up before we get home. The lady is nice, always consistent and great tasting food
The food was outstanding, the server went above and beyond to ensure we felt comfortable and happy, and the atmosphere was delightful.
The spicy chicken was somewhat disappointing. While the chicken itself was moist, the sauce was rather thin and didn't have the punch of garlic that is often present in similar dishes. I would recommend the Spicy Katsu instead, as it absorbs the sauce better; however, it was slightly overcooked. Given the current high prices, it’s hard to recommend this place when there are other teriyaki restaurants nearby.
Spicy chicken teriyaki is the best!! Always a big amount of chicken and for the price. The workers are always nice.
Ordered the kung pao chicken, it was delicious! Comes with two nice big scoops of rice and a good portion of chicken and various vegetables (there are peanuts! The sauce goes well with the rice, yum. It had just the right amount of spiciness (you probably can’t eat this if you have 0 tolerance for spice . Pick up of the takeout order went smoothly, food was ready fast and I was in and out. Restaurant itself was small and a bit dark but clean enough. The man at the front/cashier was friendly. Be wary though that they don’t really read the special instructions/notes; I asked for a spoon, chopsticks, and napkins in my pick up order but ended up with just a single small/thin napkin and a fork. The sauce had spilled out from the edges of the styrofoam takeout box so thankfully there was a plastic bag around it, it was a bit messy inside the bag.. Other than that though, food was great! Would come back again to give it another shot and to try out some other dishes on the menu.
