What Courtney Cummerata dislikes about Cava:
Customer treatment is just awful. Entered and went to the counter. The girl just stood there, staring off in a trance. I greeted her and had to initiate the order. It was very strange. Customer treatment is just awful. Entered and went to the counter. The girl just stood there, staring off in a trance. I greeted her and had to initiate the order. It was very strange. I was passed on to the skinny guy. I ordered the lamb. Hefished me one piece then said they?re out. So I picked the chicken and finished my order. I went to pay and get charged fordouble meat lamb AND chicken! Amid the drowning noise of the employees complaining about their break times, my friend says Ishould say something about the overcharge. But terrible experiences wear you down until you just want out of the situation. Food was pretty good but definitely not worth a second visit. Side note Apparently they?re supposed to give you acomplimentary pita? didn?t get that either
I had a wonderful experience today. The staff was super friendly, professional and the food was fresh and so delicious. When I asked to speak to the General Manager in reference to catering options he was able to assist me and direct me to where I neededto go. To my surprise He was a guest manager but the way he was in control of the store you would have thought it was his ownbusiness. He goes by the name of Royal he was attentive to all the customers in the store while working on the pickup orders wasjust amazing. He ran the store so smoothly and the communication between the staff in front and back was great. Wonderfulpersonality, I will recommend coming to this location especially if the morning staff is there.
After work, I wanted to grab a meal before heading home, so I decided to try Cava since I had never been there before. There was a small line to order, but the staff worked quickly to serve everyone. I chose a bowl with white rice and super greens as the base, topped with grilled chicken as the protein. While selecting toppings from the menu, I was disappointed to find that corn salsa and pickled onions were not available. Additionally, there was an extra charge for avocado. Overall, my bowl turned out pretty good for my first visit to Cava.
I've visited CAVA a few times and really enjoy their menu. Be sure to download the app and join their rewards program, though you need to spend $100 before earning points. I typically order ahead through the app and pick up my food. On one occasion, I brought my family for their first visit, and to make it easier, I let them walk down the counter to choose their own ingredients for their bowls. I come here mainly to get a healthy serving of veggies, and my bowls usually cost just over $11, including tax. I appreciate the reasonable prices, especially with inflation these days. Even if you opt for a protein-heavy bowl, it’s still around $15, and the portions are generous! I often decide last minute to order when I’m nearby, so I sometimes arrive a bit early since the app requires scheduling a pick-up time. When staff spots me waiting, they quickly check for my name and bring out my order promptly.
Overall, my experience at Cava was quite good. The staff were average, and the cleanliness was satisfactory. The presentation could have been improved if they hadn’t put a plastic lid on my bowl without asking if I was dining in—such single-use plastic waste was disappointing since I ended up throwing it away as soon as I sat down. On the bright side, they did use what seemed to be a compostable bowl, which was a nice touch. The food itself was delicious and made for a great lunch—light but satisfying. I ordered the balsamic chicken bowl, and it really hit the spot, compensating for the minor issues. One more note: the drink machines were tucked away at the back down a narrow hallway, and the menu didn’t mention any drink options. There was a small cooler up front with a few flavored waters, so I grabbed one, assuming that was all they had. Later, I discovered the drink machines in the back and realized I’d missed out on trying their variety of juices. So, if it’s your first time here, be sure to check out the drink machines in the back!
