This vibrant Indian café stands out for its extensive vegetarian and vegan options. Diners rave about the delightful samosas, which are a standout dish—crispy without excessive grease. While some menu items, like the saag aloo, garner mixed reviews for their execution, the overall variety ensures something for everyone. The establishment also features affordable happy hour margaritas and friendly service, enhancing the dining experience. Though primarily a takeout venue with limited seating, it successfully caters to patrons seeking quality food. While the eco-conscious may note plastic waste, the complimentary touches, like water bottles, add a nice finishing touch.

Wonderful Indian cafe with plenty of vegan options. Large vegetarian section with clear labeling of items containing dairy. $5 margaritas during happy hour. Also, the staff was very friendly. View all feedback.
What Hellen Ledner dislikes about Aamar Indian Cuisine:
This restaurant offers a wide variety of options for both vegetarians and vegans. The samosas, in particular, are incredibly delicious without being overly greasy. I found the saag aloo to be just okay—not particularly impressive—and the portions were on the smaller side. View all feedback.
I absolutely adore the ambiance at this place. The food is great, and the staff are truly wonderful.
I ordered the shaag aloo and roti, which came with baash-moti rice. Although the menu mentions that all their bread options contain dairy, they provided me with dairy-free roti when I requested it. The food was served in takeout containers, making it convenient to take home leftovers. I appreciated the takeout bag, which was lined with a paper bag—a nice touch! They also included a complimentary water bottle. However, I was a bit concerned about the amount of plastic waste involved. On a side note, they do provide access to a private bathroom in the back for customers.
To be honest, the channa masala was sweeter and more soupy than I like, but that's just my personal taste. The aloo gobi was quite good, and the veg samosas were definitely the highlight of the meal. Just a heads up, it's primarily a takeout place, so there are only a few tables in a very small space.
There’s tons to eat at this place, whether you’re vegetarian or vegan. The samosas in particular are super delicious and not overly greasy. My saag aloo was only good, though, not great — the onions were undercooked.
