Average food, decent service, nice ambiance. I 'm giving it 1 star because they added an Included gratuity that I did not approve. The total was $101.37 and I left $20 cash. I signed the merchant copy and totaled it $101.37. I looked at my customer copy when I got home and was shocked to see $18.60 was added as an Included gratutiy . Slimy that they didn 't mention it and that the receipt I signed was different. There were 5 of us, so I didn 't expect an added tip. I disputed the charge and my credit card company credited that amount, but I have better things to do than deal with a dishonest business. I won 't be returning.

Very disappointing experience last night at Cantine. Arrived with a group of 6 at 9:15pm Friday night. Immediately upon entering the bartender stopped us and said they had already done last call and they were closing. We counted around 15 people still enjoying their drinks and food inside. We came to celebrate and have always know Cantine to stay open later than most other spots in Aptos. To be turned away with a group of 6 people on a Friday night made us feel very unwelcome. We took our money to The Hideout where they happily stayed open until well past 11pm. Don’t go to. Anyone unless it is very early in the night.
Great place for a date night, to meet up with friends, or have a celebration! Good food and great wine and beer selection. Friendly service. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
