Was Megan Deaner at Gandy Dancer a mag?
We arrived on time for our reservation on January 16, 2022. The hostess who greeted us was incredibly warm and welcoming. She escorted us to our seats by the window, right next to the train track. Our waiter, Rodney, was very kind and attentive, despite seeming quite busy. The Dynamite Scallops were outstanding, and the Prime Rib was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend Gandy Dancer and look forward to returning... View all feedback.
What Johnn Dement dislikes about Gandy Dancer:
We usually have a great experience at the Gandy Dancer. However, our last visit was short of great. The bread came to us very dry and hard and we had to send it back. After our waitress took our order, we didn't see her, not even to check on our meals, until we were finished eating and were waiting at least 10 minutes. No offer to get us additional drinks until we asked for them after we finished our meals. The salad... View all feedback.
We met Kristina once in the restaurant to go over the event timetable. She offered valuable suggestions on how to adjust the schedule to ensure everything flowed smoothly, and her ideas were fabulous. We kept in constant contact via email, and whenever I had questions or wanted to make changes, she was quick to take note. On the day of the party, my partner and I arrived about 15 minutes after it started, and I was thrilled to see that everything was running smoothly. After we were announced, a server approached me immediately and offered me a mimosa, which was delightful. I felt like I was in a movie; the staff was so attentive that I had nothing to worry about, allowing me to fully enjoy the celebration. The food and drinks were incredible. We decided on a brunch because I signed the contract for that before Gandy Dancer stopped offering it, and I was so relieved they honored it since I promised all my guests a brunch experience. Our guests had the option of a summer fruit waffle, lobster and brat omelet, or crab cake Benedict. For dessert, they could choose vanilla bean ice cream or handcrafted cheesecake. I think everyone loved the food—I know I certainly did! If I plan another anniversary celebration, I would love to return to the Gandy Dancer.
I decided to have my birthday dinner here and they gave me a customized menu and provided candles for the cake my friends got me which was adorable. the restaurant is set up where the ann arbor train station used to be, ambiance was perfect, and service was exceptional! while all the dishes are great quality, some dishes lacked taste and did not blow my mind for the price. pictured: pan seared sea scallops: made perfectly, melts in your mouth, the rice was delicious too dynamite scallops ultimate seafood mixed trio lobster and shrimp stuffed salmon (not as good as I expected)
First time visiting the Gandy Dancer. First, what we loved: the food was delicious… our waiter was impeccable, professional, enjoyable and personable. It was a weekly date and the location made it special. Great ambiance. Reasonable prices for exceptionally made food. Fantastic carrot cake!!!! Are we going back? Yes! Only caveat: unless you valet, parking is a little complex. My husband doesn’t like using valet and we parked across the street (public parking). Crossing the street it’s a little scary. But, I enjoyed the Gandy Dancer so much, I can’t wait to return.
I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the Gandy Dancer!!! My husband and I hosted our 1-year wedding anniversary party here so we could invite everyone we couldn 't invite to the wedding (COVID restrictions, you know? Kristina, our eventcoordinator, was fantastic from the moment she picked up the phone and said, Thank you for calling the Gandy Dancer, I can helpyou, to the very end of the party I didn 't have to worry about a single thing. We were able to do a brunch because Ihad signed the contract for a brunch before the Gandy Dancer stopped offering it. I was so happy they honored the contractbecause I had promised all my guests a brunch. We gave our guests the option of a summer fruit waffle, a lobster and brieomelette, or crab cakes Benedict. We had a reservation at Gandy Dancer on July 31, 2022 Sunday). It was a celebration of our wedding. We have heard so many wonderful things about this restaurant and that is why we selected it. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous andwell maintained. My husband really enjoyed lobster bisque the restaurant was out of oysters). The reason for 2 stars is thefollowing incident I ordered Ultimate Mix Seafood Trio $39.50) and according to the website and their menu, it should havethe following components: salmon, crab cake, coconut shrimp, coconut ginger rice, and fresh vegetables. When I got my food, Inoticed there were no vegetables. The waitress Zoe) told me that rice was my vegetable. I showed her the menu and the Googlephotos of this particular dish. She rolled her eyes and brought me broccoli on a separate plate. If you consider rice to be avegetable, please remove fresh vegetables from the menu, otherwise it is a decepve trade practice. In terms of the actual dish coconut ginger rice did not have coconut flavor, only ginger. And the salmon piece was very dry and close to the end of thetail most high end restaurants do not serve such undesirable pieces).
