The Corner Hotel is experiencing a transformative phase, shifting from a disappointing past to a promising future. While earlier reports lamented frozen food and diminished quality, recent management led by Karen and Simon has revitalized the dining experience. Guests now rave about freshly cooked meals, generous portions, and attentive service. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for family gatherings or casual dining. From delectable Sunday roasts to flavorful specials and a delightful Christmas menu, the Corner Hotel is on the rise, captivating both new and returning customers with its renewed culinary excellence.
The hotel was a pleasant experience. We were there for 4 nights and loved everyone and everything about the hotel and bar. We met Rob, the manager and he has put together a staff of family and friends that are delightful! The food was outstanding and the drinks were plentiful and priced right. All in all, after 2 months of travel in Europe we have the fondest memories of that hotel and Carnoustie. Going back next year for another dose of old Scotland. A great experience!! Hate to say it but the food is diabolical I specifically asked if the roast potatoes are real and not frozen the waitress lied to my face frozen rock hard roast potatoes dry meat. Fajitas I needed to drink after every mouthful as they were so dry noodles all Stuck together with cold sweet chilli sauce from a bottle thrown all on top. Oh and the fudge cake was also shop brought literally nothing we had was home madeNot usually a complainer but for what we paid this was awful the waitresses were only young so not their fault but we had our desert brought to us while there was dinner plates still on the table. It was all just a shambles to be honest.
Waited 45 minutes for our food , when it did arrive it was nothing special . Staff are very nice and helpful Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 1
