Fantastic pub with log fires and observed, it is dog friendly. Has a fantastic lunch can recommend the house made steak and ale cake washed by quality pint of real ale. We visited on Thursday noon. The pub opens in the middle and the people waited to open the doors very popular. Would highly recommend. View all feedback.

I live over an hour away and first heard of this pub 11 years ago. I finally got here for a mid week lunch. Not disappointed, in a lovely area, a proper English old pub, that has not been spoiled and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the swan is no longer what it used to be .. firstly I’d like to take the opportunity to thank the staff who were incredible worked hard and unfortunately for them the chefs (if we can call them that) let this place down massively .. came for a Sunday roast with my partner and son .. £18 for and adults £9 for kids .. 2 extra small slices of roast beef .. Yorkshire pudding that’s got too much flour in it so didn’t raise and was dense batter .. carrot and swede with far tooo much salt and pepper and gravy that has no taste and as thin as water .. unfortunately not the standards it used to have years ago and for that price it’s day light robbery .. please sack the chef and go back to your once high standards .. your staff are a credit to you but the food is abysmal Price per person: £20–30 Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
