Huge portions, good food, friendly waitstaff. Not a great beer selection. Similar to others ' observations, biggest issue is clientele: It would be good to fix the lock on the ladies ' room door any and all bathrooms I would imagine . They have a good menu when you can get a seat. The bar service sucks. You only get a drink if she knows you. Stood there 10 minutes waiting while she visited and bullshit with the locals. She needs to be replaced! Service: 1
Updated below is my original 5 star review but I don 't think I 'll go back after my last experience. The owner is now charging for take out containers (without telling me) and my last take out bill must have had a tip automatically added also based on the math once my confusion over the cost cleared. My $16 meatloaf special cost me almost $24 somehow (cash not credit). This is the type of place you expect in this area, but with better people and better food. I love these 'redneck ' bars so don 't interpret anything here as negative the Altmar is this type of place just as I expected. You won 't find white glove service but you will find great food and excellent service at reasonable prices. I particularly love the meatloaf dinner while my wife goes for the chicken caesar wrap ... Oh, whatever you do make sure you try the PB&J wings!

Absolutely huge portions! Very tasty! Absolutely delicious chicken parm it's literally a whole chicken breast and I'm telling you that chicken is huge. They give you about 3 lb of pasta I swear!! Definitely enough leftovers for 2 days if not more. You can feed your whole family of 3-4 with this meal probably!! Chicken parm is 16:50 on Tuesdays!!! I didn't see a kid's menu but I could be wrong.. Rooms: 5
