**A Mixed Experience at The Best Little Porkhouse** At The Best Little Porkhouse, diners can expect a varied experience. While some guests rave about the flavorful smoked meats and friendly service, others leave feeling underwhelmed. Signature dishes like the brisket and pulled pork have garnered praise, but inconsistency in preparation—such as dry ribs and a lack of smokiness in the chicken—has been noted. Service can also fluctuate, with some patrons reporting attentive staff while others experience delays despite a seemingly underutilized team. Overall, the restaurant remains a solid choice for barbecue enthusiasts but may not consistently deliver across the board.
Nothing really impressed me during my visit. This was my second time here, and I still didn't enjoy anything. I ordered the half baby back ribs, expecting them to be tender and fall off the bone, but they were very dry.
It was too noisy to have a conversation; the restaurant could benefit from some soundproofing materials.
While this BBQ wasn't the best I've had, it was acceptable. The location is convenient and there's plenty of parking available. We made a reservation and were seated immediately, but it took 15 minutes before anyone came to take our order, and then another 30 minutes for our food to arrive. When we first sat down, there were only about five other tables occupied. At one point, a server did apologize for the delay, mentioning they were short-staffed, yet no manager came to address the issue, nor did anyone offer any compensation for our wait. I don't anticipate returning to this restaurant, as there are better BBQ options and far superior service available nearby.
The hostess was friendly, but it took a long time for the server to come to our table. Several staff we standing by the kitchen, eager waiting for something to do. Our server passed by our table several times before we realized she was assigned to us. Another server got her for us. She was very friendly, however. The brisket was very dry, and the mac n cheese tasted like it was made with velveeta. Creamed corn was delicious, as were the ribs and pulled pork. The chicken didn't take smokey at all; seemed like it was baked. Onion rings needed more seasoning but weren't too greasy were crunchy. For BBQ, I can't say that I was impressed. Still searching for good, satisfying BBQ with excellent service.
The staff and servers are friendly and professional. Our service wast fast and friendly. The ribs macaroni and cheese and sweet potato tots were fabulous!!! We ordered a couple drinks in the bar and they were delicious A must try
