What tom mccabe dislikes about Marcus Addison Cinema:
When this first opened it was consider the gold standard of theatres, but now it's quite run down. It's not uncommon to get a seat that's broken, ripped, or in need of repair. They did add a bar area a few years back but I don't see it used all that much. Honestly, there are better theatre options out there. The one thing going for it is they have the $5 Tuesdays, so you can get to see a movie on the cheap. View all feedback.
Theater 15 had a strong moldy smell that hit us as soon as we walked in. It was so overwhelming that after just five minutes of searching for our seats, we began to develop headaches. When I brought this up to Bri, one of the staff members, she confidently admitted that the theater hadn't been cleaned before our arrival. I inquired whether they cleaned the seats with bleach, and she replied that they didn’t have time for that. It seems they also don’t have time to clean the seats covered in popcorn, grease, and other debris. To make matters worse, most of the staff were quite rude and showed little concern for our experience. Bri also informed me that if my refund wasn’t processed back to my card, I would have to come back in person. Overall, I was very disappointed.
The Marcus remains my favorite neighborhood theater. Even though it's part of a chain, it brings back memories of the classic local spots my friends and I used to visit for both new releases and timeless films. Please never change, Marcus!

I could write about the shabby seats, the dirty cup holders, the muffled audio, and the way this place has generally slid into its present day underwhelming state since it first wowed us in the ‘90s with its stadium seating and bigger screens……but the truth is I’m done with this theater because today was the first time I have ever been told, by any theater anywhere in this country, in 35+ years of going to the movies, to go put my water bottle in my car.By forcing me to ask for cups of water at the concession stand, the theater had to expend disposable cups and produce trash that it otherwise wouldn’t have otherwise needed to. Where’s the logic in that?What’s really sad is I’m a huge concession stand cash cow I usually buy sodas and popcorn and candy for my whole group. So over a small bottle of water you lost a customer who regularly buys the thing the theater actually makes money on.This misguided policy, which apparently only started being enforced sometime between Dungeons and Dragons and Spider Man: Across the Spiderverse, means I won’t be back. I just don’t feel like going 2+ hours without water.The theater industry is competing with the comforts of home. Take away enough comforts and why come out to Marcus at all?I take no pleasure in writing this Marcus has always been “my theater” and its name is shorthand for “gonna go see a movie” in my family.As a token of my former affection, please enjoy this photo of my oldest Marcus stub next to my final Marcus stub.Farewell, old friend.
The app makes buying tickets easy and quick. The prices aren't too bad.... However the seat got was broken and did not recline.... Paying full price for sub par equipment is no good.
