I feel compelled to share my thoughts about Giordano's. I've been dining here for ten years, and unfortunately, I've noticed that with each visit, my orders seem to get messed up more often. I'm usually quite understanding, but it's becoming increasingly frustrating.
I decided to dine in, and it turned out to be the best decision I've made! The atmosphere is cozy, and the service is excellent! The food was outstanding! The chefs in the back really know how to cook up some amazing dishes...
My wife and I stopped here (we are over the road truck drivers) and decided to pick up our dinner. We were traveling with two other trucks and they decided to try a Mexican restaurant just down the block. Our order was a Medium deep dish, chicken parm sandwich with garlic/parm fries, mozzarella sticks (triangles) and cheese bead. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT! the pizza was exactly how I asked. The sauce was not acid (personal pet peeve) and HUGE! Luckily we have a supersleeper and a big fridge. One piece filled us up, the chicken parm sandwich was amazing. Bread was soft and fresh with the chicken being so tender and moist. Everything was delicious, my friends were jealous. Their restaurant choice left them rushed and complaints of cold food was their complaints. The staff was extremely family like, they were friendly and very helpful ordering. Honestly it felt like we were old high-school classmates. I only remember one person 's name Melissa , but interestingly enough her mother and daughter also worked there. It 's hard enough these days to find either good food and great service and even more rare at the same place. Kelly and I spent $50 'ish and will have leftovers for days, on the other hand our friends paid more for dinner and had one small leftover plate between them. I cannot say enough about the food and staff, much love and Aloha. Will definitely be back , Mahalo
Overall, it was a terrible experience! I felt so embarrassed. I had brought three business associates from out of town to try Chicago pizza, but the Lou Malnati's down the street was just a poor choice...
Classic Chicago pizza that you won't want to miss. On the recommendation of our server, we tried the small deep-dish pizza, which was more than enough for the three of us. The crust was delicious and flaky, almost like pastry—definitely something you'd want to finish rather than leave on the plate. We sampled two different red wines; the selection was limited to only four options, which could definitely be improved—this affected our star rating. However, both wines were good, with the Cabernet Sauvignon standing out as the better choice. The service was friendly and prompt, though our waitress was unaware that the soup we ordered was out until after we placed our order. Overall, it wasn’t a major issue, and we would happily return to Chicago next time.
