Feedback
Oscar’s restaurant in Abilene, TX, boasts a mix of experiences that reflect its varied appeal. While many patrons relish its fast service, friendly staff, and popular chips and salsa, others find the food somewhat average, often lacking in flavor and creativity. The ambiance is inviting, despite a few complaints about the surrounding neighborhood and inconsistent service. Signature dishes like fajita beef quesadillas and enchiladas receive praise, yet experiences with missing items and slow attention detract from the overall enjoyment. Ultimately, Oscar’s strikes a balance, attracting repeat customers while earning critiques that suggest areas for improvement.
Best hot sauce in Abilene so far. Food is good. Enchilada Stack was bland. Guacamole is good. Very oniony. We will be back!
Good local mexican food. Want good Mexican food served hot and fast? then this is a great place. We made our second visit to Oscar's and enjoyed the food and friendly service. Shrimp tacos with guacamole, cheese enchiladas and carne guisada. We normally would have had more than one basket of chips, but the food came so quickly after we ordered we didn't need to have more!
The neighborhood felt a little scary and there were people hanging out all around but we were hungry and took a chance and let me tell you we were not disappointed !! This was one of the best Mexican food places we have visited, the food was delicious , the staff was very courteous and attentive, and the atmosphere was so inviting and relaxing. The Christian type music that was playing was amazing as well. We will definitely be back and highly recommend
Came here because we had a great experience a year ago when we ate inside. Went through the drive thru today...Hair in the bottom of refried beans... I have red hair. Definitely not mine, How gross. Also the meat on the street tacos was gross, doesn?ttaste like beef at all. Salsa is good though. Almost went and got refund just because of the hair that was probably noticed bythe lady that put the beans in the bowl but didn?t want to ruin the girl at the windows day.
We?ve loved Oscar?s in the past but do not think we will be returning after our last visit. Service was horrible, our server came to our table a total of three times. One to take our order, deliver our food (missing items) and to bring us our check.Offered refills at the end of our dinner and constantly leaned over my toddler to hand hot plates over the table. And the foodwas okay, think we could have dined somewhere better for $100.
