There are many restaurants on LI which aspire to be first-rate, Sandbar actually achieves that in their menu, service and ambiance. The space is warm and beautiful and the service is wonderful. What DJ G dislikes about Sandbar:
I started with the dynamite duck tacos, which were fantastic. My friend ordered the chilled avocado soup, and after tasting it, I really wished I had ordered it too. The Lobster Bucatini was excellent—juicy and full of flavor. We're definitely planning to come back soon! View all feedback.

The salads were fresh and in season and well composed, and the sea bass entree was elevated, generous and full of flavor. The pumpkin cheesecake was a marvelous end to a lovely meal.
Was there for an 80th birthday party. The room for the party was a bit small for the amount of people. But the food was delicious the service was impeccable. I had the steak my son had the salmon. We both really enjoyed it. The salad chocolate dessert were also delicious.
Very friendly, attentive service. Very good food. A bit on the expensive side but not over priced. Very comfortable space. Beautifully decorated.
