Was J S at Grotto a mag?
The ambience is excellent! Perfect sized, romantic dining room. All staff were on point, and extra helpful. The food could step up. It was good, but I would say nothing spectacular. $29 sirloin needs to be a little bit bigger, or at least have more flavor. Still a great place to eat. View all feedback.

I usually love The Grotto and the food and our waitress were superb as usual. My issue tonight was that they actually asked us to leave. The hostess sent our waitress to tell us that they give customers an hour and a half and then they expect them to leave. My boyfriend I could not say enough about the attentive and friendly service. The meal from soup salad to the entree dessert could not have been more delicious. Generous portions cooked to perfection.
The food is insanely good for the price! It's the same price as diner food but almost as good as fine dining. The atmosphere is definitely that of a high end establishment, and the staff are really great! I can't remember our servers name, but I wish I could because he was fantastic. He gave my friend a mint leaf before we left (not going to bother explaining) and it was really funny. Definitely hope to be back next time in syracuse! First time being here and was not disappointed. Waiter was very attentive and all the food was excellent.
