I have visited this restaurant several times and always managed to enter at the last minute, as it's always packed. The udon is delicious and there are plenty of other menu options available. Our family arrived at Matsuo-ji at 11 am, before it opened, but the parking lot was already full. The private rooms inside were all reserved, but luckily one was available for us. The menu had a wide variety of options, so it took us some time to decide. In the end, we ordered the seafood bowl set, the tempura shrimp set, the fried oyster set, and the tempura bowl. The freshness of the seafood was excellent, and everything we tried was delicious. While the set meals were tempting, the udon soup was also delicious, so ordering a bowl of udon on its own would be a good choice. With its great value for money, it's no wonder this is a popular restaurant.
I had the curry udon set meal. The udon noodles were thin and soft, with a surprisingly stretchy texture. The curry had a rich broth and was delicious, and the beef was not too fatty and very tasty. It was clear that this restaurant is beloved by locals. I also appreciated that they rounded down the bill, making me feel like I got a little discount.笑
