I often use this restaurant when I go to Saga. This time, I used the private outdoor bath. It costs 2000 yen for 60 minutes and comes with a small resting space. I didn't have time to rest in 60 minutes... I wanted to relax more. The hot spring was very refreshing. There is also a resting space inside the building, and a hammock outside. Since I used it on a weekday night, there were not many customers and I was able to relax. After soaking in the hot spring, I always eat at the restaurant Rikyuutei before going home, and their "Hormone Udon" is truly delicious. I always order it after eating it once. For those who haven't tried it yet, please try it once!
From reception to the dining area, the staff were very kind and made my experience enjoyable. I had the "Hormone Udon" and my cousin had the "Zaru Soba" at the restaurant "Rikyu". The recommended "Saga Beef Tataki" was delicious. The outdoor bath with a view of the Saga Plain was satisfying. However, the lack of shade in the outdoor bath area made the sun a bit uncomfortable. I thought that having a roof would make it more comfortable in the hot season. The water temperature in the shower was inconsistent, sometimes too cold or too hot, which was a bit inconvenient. There are two types of saunas, including a salt sauna, and although not very spacious, they were enjoyable. On the first floor, there is a direct sales area with fresh flowers, potted plants, vegetables, fruits, and sweets, which was impressive. During cherry blossom season, I'm sure it will be bustling with even more visitors.
We mainly use the family bath at this restaurant. There are private tatami rooms where you can relax and enjoy the bath slowly. It can be difficult to change clothes just in the dressing room when you have small children, but here there are spacious rooms where you can relax. Each room has two baths, one washing area, and an outdoor bath. At night, you can soak in the bath while enjoying the view of the stars and moon, creating a calming atmosphere. The time limit is 1 hour, and there are two 500ml bottles of tea in the refrigerator, which is a unique and appreciated service. The staff are always very friendly, and we look forward to using the facilities every time.
