Very good Tex-Mex. Looks like a small place but it's very big when you get inside and very comfortable. Great service too! Give this place a try!! Big menu with many choices! View all feedback.
What Kevin O doesn't like about Eljefe Mexican:
This Restaurant is NO LONGER IN BUSINESS. Hopefully YELP will change the listing. I have sent in a message letting them know after driving up there for dinner last week. They have a chalk board sign in their front door saying they are closed and out of business. View all feedback.

I wish it could be a better review. Since they opened we have given this restaurant so many chances. The food is eh and the service is slow. Hope they turn it around but with so many other options, we won 't be back for a long while.

This was our first time here. The place is huge, it has plenty of seating inside, a party room and out door seating. Plus, upstairs seating and bar, both downstairs and upstairs. All beer is in bottles, but the have a full bar. Our waiter was super polite, and was very helpful with the menu. He kept our coffee cups full. The chips and salsa were good, crispy chips, and the salsa was served in a large container, not too spicy, but the spicyness creep up on you. We had breakfast here, and it was good. The potatoes were seasoned just right, the eggs were done perfectly, and the pork chops are boneless and comes with two. Homemade tortillas, both flour and corn. We returned for dinner, our waiter was still there, poor guy, been there all day. Service was still great, waiter was still in good spirits. I forgot to take pictures, long day. We had more company with us, and we all enjoyed our meals.
I am out with my husband and Mom for my birthday from Austin shopping at the outlet. We decided to come here before heading back to Austin. We were definitely glad we did. The waitress suggested the Mole chicken enchiladas for my husband. My thought was..Omgoodness he's not going to like it. He's very picky. To my surprise he loved it. I had chicken/ beef fajitas and my Mom had a taco salad. The food was very good and the service was great. I know it's good when my husband says he'll drive from Austin just for the enchiladas Good food and good drinks is a recipe for a great restaurant. Two thumbs up.
