I guess this is a secret tip. the restaurant is not just on the way, but you walk past it. it is pointed out that you should reserve also due to changing opening times. the restaurant is family operated and can therefore also come to longer waiting times. the great advantage is that there are no people waiting for space and so you have rest. I have previously been to this restaurant several times in the nineties. You can access it either by walking up from Furi or Zermatt, or alternatively getting off the Gornergrat train and cutting across through the woods. It has a fantastic view of the Matterhorn. I arrived a little early and was handed a rather heavy (in weight) menu. I was also offered something not on the menu but clearly one of their standard dishes. The service was fine, the food was excellent, but the price for a risotto and a bottle of mineral water was in excess of CHF 30.
