The position is perfect to discover Stone Town. The Dtaff is very nice, they even gave us a gift because we arrive at Christmas (even if we stayed only for one night). The wooden furniture looks elegant with a local exotic touch. We enjoyed the experience very much! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Jafferji House:
Beautiful house with a lovely rooftop terrasse and a great location close to shops, restaurants, beach, markets etc. We had 3 rooms, and they were all very dark and 2 of them had beds, toilet and shower in the same room. Most of the staff were nice but some seemed like they were very annoyed with us. The breakfast was ok, but it was surprisingly complicated to get the food. Next time I wiĺl go for a place with a pool... View all feedback.
It's a hidden gem I was around the streets for a while, but never knew about the property now al as it ambassadors to stay its amazing space spacious costs efficient and the decorative are amazing
Great little hotel. Nice restaurant. Very clean and modern.
Really really bad service!! Absolutely NOT worth the money. The cleaning staff went through all our personal things, the inside of my suitcase was a complete mess, my necklaces in my jewelry purse has been knotted together though just before leaving the room I had arranged them nicely and the whole purse has been searched. 20$ were stolen out of the wallet inside a handbag. By accident they even put some clothes of the suitcase of my friend in my suitcase. After complaining to the manager, he apologized for the inconvenience but nothing happened. Despite going through our things and stealing money, the cleaning stuff literally didn’t do anything in the room except doing the bed. Neither the sheets nor the towels had been changed even once in the four days we stayed there though we specifically asked for new towels. Bathroom wasn’t cleaned not even once, the shower gel they provided had been used before, the bed and towel sheets had stains, our cups hadn’t been changed though we used them everyday. The WLAN wasn’t working in our room most of the time. At the end the receptionist wanted to insist on an extra 30$ for late check out though upon arrival we had agreed (with the same receptionist) that it would be included. Only good thing: the room was really big and beautifully decorated with traditional art. Also loved the traditional style of the whole hotel and the breakfast on the rooftop.
Important to read No need to comment on the hostel this comment on the staff is sufficient We spent 2 nights in the hostel. Coming back from the restaurant on the second evening, the safe was not working anymore (code had been reinitialized and our suitcases had been opened. After carefully reading some suspicious comments we asked the manager to come and fix it (while he was away because our passports were inside. While waiting, the staff was suspicious and laughing when I asked if I could trust and the manager them because some comments were reporting weird things. So basically, here is what is happening in this hostel (and this is confirmed by other comments please read it From time to time the manager is coming to a room (always before the last night of the stay, so that you won 't have time to spend to go to the police to check if there is money inside the safe with a key that opens every safe Best case scenario the code is not functional anymore and the manager just pretend that it happens from time to time Worst case you had money in it and you are done because you had to sign a paper saying that you will not prosecute for any reasons Fortunately we only left a passport but another couple was stolen 500€ 5 days before (we met them after in Jambiani The place is nice otherwise so the only option if you want to stay in the hostel is to carry all your stuff and luggage all the time, as it 's 35 degrees, I guess you won 't want to do this Please stay away from the hostel, the manager is a thief. I guess he will answer the same thing he told me on this night when we strongly argued sometimes the code change by itself . I am sure everyone agrees that a code doesn 't change by itself :
Never book this hotel!!! The hotel itself is very ugly, dark and dirty. With absolutely pathetic breakfast available. The manager and staff are incapable of fulfilling small tasks and takes them days of misleading lies. I would recommend to overlook this hotel and it's group completely as they have an absolute lack of communication. It is terribly frustrating to deal with this type of people if you need anything done it will not happen whatsoever. I hope to help any other travelers to not be fooled by advertised pictures into booking anywhere else besides here
