At first i was afraid of what the prices would be and the menu proved it but after i ordered and food came? I could see and taste that it was a bit up scale. I had their house salad which was made from fruits and had their burger . I was very impressed by the flavours my lady had an appetizer which was a meal in itself. Got away with tip ( added onto bill but changable) all for 54 basically same price as boston pizza... View all feedback.
What Marguerite McDermott doesn't like about Arthurs Landing:
My 4th visit but this time the service was very slow, the waiter and the manager both had terrible attitudes and they just didn't get the whole customer service 101!!I even called ahead to arrange a surprise desert which they said they would put a sparker on it and they didn't do it. Living near Newmarket, I discovered this restaurant while shopping at Upper Canada Mall. It's conveniently located right outside one of the entrances facing Yonge Street.
Sure, I lost interest when I stopped by for dinner and spent a while looking through the menu trying to find something that appealed to me.
When we arrived at the restaurant, there were only a few tables occupied and the service to be seated and place our order was quite slow.
OK lets start with the not so good but carry on reading there is better to come.Party of four 6ish on a Sunday evening arrived and and after a short delay were taken to a very wobbly table (fixed later by our superb waitress with the age old beer mat remedy)Orders taken for drinks and food swiftly drinks served very quickly but alas and alack the same cannot be said for the food for which we waited and waited and waited well over an hour We were told it was due to a new pizza chef which made it all the more surprising that the two pizzas were at best luke warm, side of fries on another dish were cold the carbonara though was hot very disappointing as the food tasted great.When our waitress came by to ask if all was OK she took our complaints very seriously and fetched the managerHe took careful note of what was wrong and to his credit did not try to defend the indefensible but offered to adjust the bill in our favour gave us an assurance that if we returned we would receive far better serviceEven in the best of worlds things go wrong and when they do its how you react that counbts In this case I cannot fault the way our complaint was dealt with and I would give 5* for that otherwise this would have been a 1* reviewThe one continuing reservation is the long wait for food and several other tables also experienced this but will we give them a second chance? More than likely and I will then post another review
Visited with family. Beautiful environment and decoration. Took them long time to come and say Hi! Waited About 20 minutes for starter and more than that for main.Never mind the desert. We had to leave before seeing the desert. Funny enough they brought the bill right after we ordered the desert and after 20 minutes of waiting we just paid and left.The server was neither friendly nor responsive. Manager was walking around making a serious face!
