What J doesn't like about Sapori:
The atmosphere is nice and the staff are friendly. However, the food and cleanliness could use some improvement. I've tried the linguine several times, but unfortunately, the sauce tends to be a bit watery. The dishes could use more flavor as well. Additionally, the hygiene rating is a three, indicating there's room for improvement. View all feedback.

We booked a table for breakfast at short notice, they had no issues accomodating us. From the outset, we were made to feel very welcome and the setting was very comfortable too. I ordered a caprese focaccia and asked for bacon to be added. The service was quick and the food was excellent. I was really pleased with the coffee too, the breakfast like a little taste of Italy with a British twist. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast and look forward to trying the evening menu when we next visit
Amazing location at the Shambles, brilliant starters and desserts, however we were slightly let down by the mains but the lovely staff took care of that.
Beautiful Italian restaurant with the delicious food and friendly atmosphere. Based in the heart of the Shambles in York is a must stop. We had breakfast there and all was delicious. Best espresso coffee I ever had in England .
Food is simply brilliant and portion are very generous. We had an wonderful time at Sapori. If you are visiting York, you must not miss this lovely Italy restruant in the Shambles.
