The server was quick to explain the waiting time. The two front of house servers were courteous and friendly, and they sanitized the tables between customers. From my table, I could see behind the counter where a young lady was making drinks and returning milk to the refrigerator. My drink and cake arrived quickly. The carrot cake was filled with nuts and had a delicious, fragrant frosting. The hot chocolate had a strong taste, somewhere between milk and dark chocolate. The temperature was cold outside, but inside it didn't feel too warm.
Fantastic! We enjoyed the afternoon tea for two, which was incredibly delicious and reasonably priced compared to other places offering afternoon tea. The seating arrangements were pleasant, with plenty of space between tables. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend making a reservation, especially on a busy day. We visited on a Saturday and were grateful for booking in advance as there was a wait. They also offer a takeaway option with a separate queue. The cakes were also great value for money.
We had a pleasant experience at the restaurant, with a delicious dessert and a lively atmosphere.
