I had a slightly sold out article. I ordered the Red Tonkatsu and the Tonkatsu Shoyu. They forgot to put the spicy paste in the red so that it came on the side. I decided to add the Spicy to the Tonkatsu Shoyu as well as it was actually a fun combination of flavors. I really liked it. It is not life-changing rams, but it is good and not as expensive as other places. On average, the bowls here are one dollar or two ch... View all feedback.
What Tim P doesn't like about Hanzo Ramen:
Had low expectations as we just wanted to have some easy-quick warm soup lunch option to complement the sushi rolls purchased at the supermarket. To our surprise, the thick soup base delivered much flavorful experience than what we would normally get at competing supermarket- Mitsuwa 's food court. One up in that regard, Tokyo Central. Okay you guys I finally got a picture of the ramen. Minus bamboo shoots, I take those off. Anyway this is still my favorite place to get ramen, I love getting drinks at Tokyo central while I wait for the ramen and then eating in the store. The flavor is phenomenal and no other ramen that I've had can compare with this one for me. Still a lot customer to Hanzo.
It looks like they've been open for a year at this point, given all the festivities going down next month and here's to many more years to come! Tokyo Central has a wide variety of foods and sweets (I love me some mochi, and that, they've got plenty of), you'd be spoiled for choice. And let me make this clear, when I say food, I'm not just talking about groceries, I'm also talking about how they have a buffet style lunch area (you pay by the weight of your plate), a bakery with sweet Japanese bread (all the rage, for good reason), a fresh sushi station which was not only filled with sushi but with poke bowls and various other rice and ramen bowls with stuff like tempura or curry you'd probably spend more time trying to figure out what to get than actually wolfing it down, cause I definitely did. Did I mention that after you cash up, there's a fairly large seating area for you to devour your purchases? Pretty neat, me thinks. My only complaint is it is a little on the pricier side compared to say a Lee Lee's or Ranch market, but to be able to grab lunch to go while I get my groceries, I think that convenience and the selection available, definitely makes it worthwhile.
Since Covid started, whenever I'm back in town, I grab their prepackaged ramen that's available after 11 am to take back with me to college. $7.99 very decent grab to go meals, just need a microwave. I heat it up for 4 to 5 minutes because I like mine nice and hot. No need to add water or anything, heating melts the soup. Keep the cover loosely on in case the egg does some exploding.
Excellent food, helpful staff members, always good atmosphere. They charge affordable pricing and the food quality is very good. Keep up the good work.
The food is good here, and the staff friendly and knowledgeable. However, do not order the ramen to go from here. It is not your imagination that the take-out portions of ramen are HALF the size of the normal bowls, though the staff will assure you that they are the same size as the dine-in portions. I ordered to go once, and will never do so again.
