Very pleasant place. excellent reception. We tested the restaurant after a gift box and now this place integrates the list of our preferences. the hotel master who has arrived has arrived very nice. non-exorbitant prices allow extras for wines with glass (among others, the yonk is famous). What Michel D doesn't like about Les Menus Plaisirs:
When we arrived at 8:30, we are warned to wait for everyone to be here! In fact, everything starts three quarters of an hour later in a delightfully shared room with a wedding. Station hall atmosphere. The poor customers of Valentine's Day served after marriage by an overflowed personnel who run in the room, thus making air currents more comfortable. I wanted to book for 1:00. I'm told no it'll be 1:30. a part of the guests (2) arrived at 1.15 p.m., starting at 1.20 p.m. we are asked when the others will arrive because it will be a problem in the kitchen! The hotel master will come back twice to find out when the other two guests arrive. When the last two arrive at 1:45 pm, we are told that we can't take the menus, only the map and no entry!!! just dessert dish. Bravo for the welcome !!!!
The Château du Maréchal de Saxe has a superb restaurant. The setting is beautiful and romantic. The menus are very good and especially the gastronomy is excellent. The presentation of the plates is very pretty and especially in terms of taste, nothing to say.
Thank you very much for this remarkable meal (with a high quality foie gras and meat), and for the attention of the staff (a beautiful anniversary candle . The room is very well appointed, the authentic decoration, and the view of the very pleasant park.
Sunday noon: please put the welcome sign on a pole rather than lay it on the ground on a stairs. The first impression is essential. Random home, forced to return to reception. Beautiful prefecture of the building but old-fashioned atmosphere, carpentry is to change. In total we are 2 tables in our room. Very few people. The Hotel Master welcomes us in a friendly and casual way, which can surprise us in such a setting, but the whole staff is efficient, friendly and courteous. We are not offered the map but only 2 menus. The wines are good and well advised but the dishes are not at the height. Foie gras mollasson and Turbot without flavor. The desserts are good and the service has been without excessive waiting. In short, a very ordinary meal for a rather high price. Nothing scandalous but there is better in the region, even taking into account the framework.
Beautiful frame, welcome very well the menu proposed for the saint valentine was correct apart from the entrance fat making really too hard cake to find the fat...!!! Part moment the singer sang a little loud it a little bit spoiled the romanticism of certain dialogue, we were in the middle of the room and not in front of him it would have been difficult to hold the meal We are still ready to go back for another occasion.
