Rudder's Waterfront Express - Yarmouth

This is a very busy pub /restaurant with average food.It is so noisy that the music is just background noise.Not a place for a quiet relaxed meal.

Waterview and outdoor seating during good weather. We had a great time here. Service was very good and the food excellent. I had the lobster bisque to start. Nice amount of lobster and very nice flavor. My main entree was the seafood pasta, scallops and prawn, lots of them. I needed to get a to go bag for more than half. My sweetie had the seafood casserole and that was also excellent. No idea why (we were full already and took two doggie bags) but we also had the carrot cake for dessert. My husband said that is the way carrot cake is suppose to be. The B&B we stayed in recommended this place, I'm really glad they did. Nice atmosphere.

We had a nice dinner here. Good service, good food. There is an outdoor patio too but we ate inside because it was a little chilly. Reservations highly recommended. We did not eat at the bar but there is a large bar too. They also had a nice wine selection, since we are not beer drinkers which is what they specialize in as well.

Lunch time. Nice location. outside on a nice sunny day. 3 of us eating. The french fries had no salt. Who cooks french fries and doesn't salt them right out of the frier ? Macdonald's salts their fries right out the oil, it makes the salt stick, it make the fries taste better. A fish burger with a tiny piece of fish. I am not going back.

We arrived to find no fewer than 4 waitresses gathered chatting, while we waited for the hostess. We waited to be seated, to get drinks, to get our food--which came to us cold. The lobster was soaked in some sort of sauce, and the chowder was tasteless. Do yourself a favor--order a pizza from some chain while you wait for the ferry.
